Kawasumi's lyrics were selected in a lyrics competition within SUGER. In October 2008, SUGER disbanded. He then began working full-time as an actor. On January 1, 2017, he announced on his blog that he had transferred from his long-time company Kitty Co., Ltd. to Cast Corporation.
