Biography
Catherine Castel was born Catherine Marie Simone Tricot. As an actress, she appeared in several films throughout her career, most notably, those directed by Jean Rollin, including "La vampire nue", "Tout le monde il en a deux", "Lèvres de sang" and "Phantasmes", as well as a number of adult films, and after a long-standing hiatus, would appear with Rollin again in her final film role "La fiancée de Dracula", before retiring. During her career, she would have, on a number of occasions, appear on-screen alongside her twin sister Marie-Pierre Castel (1949–2013). Rollin would have cast Marie-Pierre in roles originally intended for Catherine when she was unavailable due to being pregnant. She has also worked with directors, such as, Serge Korber, Bernard Launois, Jean Desvilles, Jean-Pierre Bouyxou, Jean-Marie Ghanassia, Alain Payet, Francis Girod, Jean Luret, Dominique Goult and Lucio Mazzeotti. She died in 2018 at the age of 69.
