Biography
Joël Barbouth, born October 22, 1937 in Paris where he died October 17, 2013, is a French actor. He is the father of Galaxie Barbouth. Joël Barbouth is known for his supporting roles from 1963 to 2010, and sometimes leading roles as in "La Fille d'en face" (1968) by Jean-Daniel Simon alongside Roman Polanski and Marika Green or "Salut les amis" (1967) by Jean-Pierre Bastid. He played twice with the director Philippe Garrel in "Liberté, la nuit" in 1984, then "Le Cœurphantom in 1996") as well as with Philippe Galland in "L'Exercice du politique" in 1978 and in "Merci mon chien in 1997". In 1982, it was filmed by Gérard Courant for his film anthology "Cinématon". It is number 240 of this collection. He also does theater, notably in the play "Le Visiteur" by Éric-Emmanuel Schmitt in 1993 at the Petit Théâtre de Paris in a production by Gérard Vergez. He died in Paris on October 17, 2013.
