Biography
Madeline Walter is an American actress, comedian, and writer originally from New Jersey, who later attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for her undergraduate studies. After graduating, she relocated to Los Angeles, where she began studying improvisational comedy at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre (UCB). In her creative career, Walter has made her mark both in front of and behind the camera. As a writer, she was among the first duo—alongside Paul Welsh—to be hired for "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" (2013–2021), serving as executive story editor and writer across multiple episodes. After her stint on "Brooklyn Nine-Nine," she continued collaborating with Welsh on the television series "Killing It" (2022), where she contributed as a writer. Additionally, she co-wrote the feature film "Mack & Rita" (2022), starring Diane Keaton. As an actor, Madeline Walter is known for her appearances on "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" (2013, 2019–2021), portraying characters such as Tiffany and GIF Woman. She has also acted in the comedic film "Textbook Adulthood" (2015). In the world of performance and comedy, Walter remains deeply rooted in improv. She is an alumna of UCB Theatre and continues to perform in Los Angeles with improv teams Cardinal Redbird and Search History.
